With over 20 years of experience in the South African short-term insurance industry, I co-founded Specialised Broker Services (SBS) with a clear vision: to build a brokerage grounded in technical excellence, ethical advisory standards, and long-term client relationships. As Co-Founder and Director, my role spans both strategic leadership and specialist advisory. I work closely with our broker team, insurer partners, and commercial clients to ensure that every insurance solution is structured with clarity, compliance alignment, and long-term sustainability in mind.
Insurance, when structured correctly, is not simply a product – it is a risk management framework that protects businesses, professionals, and property owners from financial disruption. My focus is to ensure that our clients receive advice that is defensible, compliant, and aligned with their actual risk exposure – not just perceived risk.

Experience and Backround
My career in insurance spans more than two decades, during which I have worked extensively across commercial insurance, professional indemnity, liability structures, and complex risk placements.
Together with Leigh Skelton, I helped grow SBS into a recognised independent brokerage serving clients across South Africa. Our focus has always been advisory depth over volume, and insurer relationships built on trust and technical credibility.

As a Key Individual, I am accountable for ensuring advisory standards meet regulatory expectations under the FAIS framework. Governance, compliance, and ethical advisory conduct form a central part of my leadership role within SBS.
